Planning Your Backyard Summer Blowout!

The sunshine is lasting longer, the kids are out of school, and the grill is ready to be fired up… what now? Host a Summer BBQ, of course!

Here are three tips to help you have a Summer Blowout that your neighbors envy and your friends can’t stop talking about.

    Shop Fresh
It’s no secret that fresher is always better! Instead of opting for frozen or store-refrigerated meat, try heading straight to a butcher’s shop. You’ll also get more bang for your buck, which means you can feed more people (or eat more yourself). Either way, it’s a win-win situation. pro-tip: don’t forget about the seasonings! While many meats are delicious on their own, it can’t hurt to try a little garlic salt or even salt & pepper rub before cooking. Try mixing and tasting multiple seasonings, and you might even be able to come up with your own specialty!

    Don’t Skimp on Decorations
There are certain things you can do in your own backyard that just “feel” like summer. Tiki torches, an umbrella for shade, outdoor pillows, and carefully place succulents are great options. You’d be surprised how just a few slight additions can really spruce up your backyard and have you excited to spend many additional afternoons and evenings outside, even without the hoopla of a Summer BBQ.

    Plan Activities
Games like badminton, ring toss, lawn bowling, and more can make or break a Summer BBQ or get together. Though you may not have played many of these in some time, or you may even associate them with children, that couldn’t be farther from the truth! Even if you’re throwing a grown-ups only bash, the fact of the matter is that adults love games, too!

So this summer, put on some music and grab the lawn darts, because we have a feeling you’re going to have a hard time getting people to leave a party as awesome as yours!!
